Cedar Point Trip 2025

The news was good as far as Top Thrill Dragster 2. It was running very regularly, so odds were good that I'd get to ride it. Not so good as far as the brand new for 2025 Siren's Curse. The first tilt coaster to open in the United States, it had already stranded riders several times. I was also meeting friends, but they were running a little late, so I got in line for Siren's Curse and hoped for the best. As it turned out, there were no problems either for myself or my friends (who rode it a bit later). All three of us were not only able to ride, but we all managed to get front row seats! Simply amazing! As for Top Thrill 2, it was running fine, though it was shut down for the day the next day. (I usually spend the day at the park on a Saturday and then stay over for a couple of hours on Sunday morning to catch a few rides before heading home.) With friends in the park, we rode a few rides I don't often get a chance to. The Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad train, the Sky Ride, and the Giant Wheel. In fact, timing was just right to end up being the last people off of the Giant Wheel for the night. When it was all said and done, I managed to get in fourteen rides, including a few in the front. The biggest change I could see now that the merger has taken full effect and Cedar Point is a Six Flags park is the increase in ride restrictions and over-management of the cue lines. The implementation is a little uneven though, with many of the older rides not changing their approach. I will say that the lockers for Siren's Curse are the newer kind that are set up to be accessed from both the ride cue side, and the ride exit side, which works very well. It may also be that the thought is that if the park is busy, management of the cue line speeds things up. It's a faulty assumption as the rides can only run so many trains per hour, and statistics don't support any claims that ride cue management actually increases ride capacity. For the moment, Six Flags seems content to keep Cedar Point pretty much as is, so it is still "a place like no other". Make sure that part of your park visiting schedule includes a visit to Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast - Ride on!
