I got a bit of a late start with the park this year, both as far as the season and as far as the hour of the day. The late start in the season was due to me holding out hope that Top Thrill Dragster 2 would start running again. After a few short runs earlier in the season, it was shut down for modifications. It remains shut down, with an official announcement the day of my visit, that it will not be open until next season. The announcement was no surprise at this point, but still a disappointment. Everything else was runing well (except for Corkscrew), and I managed to get in eleven rides, including eight in the front seat. Most of that was due to the fact that Cedar Point usually runs two to three trains most of the time, where other parks will run one or two. The other ride closure that was recently announced was that of Snake River Falls. While not a coaster, it was an adventurous favorite of many, in an area of that park that is light on rides. This would be a great area to put in a dark ride, but then again, the Boardwalk area would be a good place for that as well. a new coaster would be nice too, but at least until Top Thrill Dragster 2 is operational, they probably won't put in another coaster. There's also some nervousness on the part of many asa Cedar Fair and Six Flags merged late in the operational season this year. While it's difficult to forecast what might lie ahead, I think it's safe to say that there are unlikely to be many changes for the 2025 park season. In the meantime, Cedar Point is still "a place like no other". Don't wait to visit Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast - Ride on!
