My cousin and I were last at Cedar Point together in 2009. This time it was just one day at the park instead of two, and it was a little rough early one. We started out with Gatekeeper and the new Wild Mouse. It's not a major thrill ride, but it fits the new Boardwalk are nicely. The lines for both were not bad, but as the park opened up to the general public, wait times started to increase. The other complication was that several rides seemed to be experiencing minor electrical problems. Nothing serious, but 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there was starting to add up and had us wondering whether we'd be able to get to all of the coasters. As the day progressed, the wait times began to grow shorter, and while the short breakdowns continued, the reult was that we not only were able to ride all of the coasters, but also managed to get a second ride on Steel Vengeance. Speaking of Steel Vengeance, the ride locker situation is not designed well. Larger items require a paid locker, while items that fit in your pockets (and set off the metal detector) have to go in another, smaller but free locker. This smaller locker is situated in a way that means you have to go back through a line at the front of the ride to retrieve your items. It's a mess. The biggest park could be solved by emphasizing that everything needs to be out of your pockets, not just items that set of the metal detectors, especially since credit cards are one of the items that sets them off and it's a cashless park. And look at the design of a similar locker situation at the Universal parks in Florida where the ride cue runs right by the free lockers as you enter, and on the other side of those same lockers as you exit. It makes the process much easier! Top Thrill Dragster is still in the process of being reworked, and will hopefully be running next year. I keep waiting for that haunted ride in the Frontier section. Kudos to the ride ops on both Corkscrew and Magnum, as well as a few other rides, who were doing an amazing job of being entertaining while giving instructions to people entering and leaving the ride. Cedar Point is most definitely "a place like no other"! Don't wait to visit Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast - Ride on!
