The forecast was for morning thunderstorms, which is not actually surprise for this park. But then the forecast changed as morning arrived. Thunderstorms wouldn't start until afternoon... or early evening... then again... It turned out to be a beautiful day, though there were a couple of times that it did look like rain might make an appearance after all.
It was a rough day for the maintenace crew, with Blue Streak, Top Thrill Dragster, Magnum, Raptor, and Gatekeeper down as well as the Sky Ride. Some of the problems were related to high winds, but it was definitely keeping them on their toes.
I still managed to get front seat rides on everything except Woodstock, despite ending my day a little early due to a recently sprained ankle.
The only new attractions this yaer were the Lake Erie Eagles and Pipe Scream that are part of the Camp Snoopy area. It's nice to see these rides and they are a nice addition for the area. Hopefully something larger will be in the works for next year.
Kudos this year to the ride-ops of Corkscrew, Magnum, and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride for going a few steps farther to make sure that the guests are all having fun.
