What a way to start the day... two smooth-as-silk rides on the Raptor in the cool morning air! Quite a bit more new paint and landscaping again this year, though the Mantis is still in need of a paint job, and a tune-up as well. The real surprise was all of the new paint in the queue line for Disaster Transport! It hasn't looked this good in years! The new Wicked Twister makes a great addition to the front of the park as well. Too bad it wasn't working when I was there. The diving show returns again this year and is a fun way to spend a few minutes in the shade. The staff at Cedar Point is always helpful and friendly. Perhaps being voted the best amusement park in the world by both Amusement Today and the British Coaster Enthusiasts helps create a sense of pride in working for this great park.
Sometimes it's hard to imagine that Cedar Point could fit any more coasters into the park, but I think they still have room for a few more. One thing that would help would be the consolidation of the three separate kiddie areas into one or two areas. And, of course, I'm still waiting for that haunted western ride somewhere between Millenium Force and Mean Streak. Speaking of which, my day at the Point finished up this year with an ice-cold ride on Millenium Force. Awesome!
So, sit upright, hold on tight, and enjoy your ride(s) at Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast!
