This year my trip to the point was rather late in the season, and viewing all of the advertisements in the park, I realized that I simply MUST experience Cedar Point's HalloWeekends soon! Millennium Force is indeed an incredibly tall coaster...and fast, and smooth! In the evening, the structure is highlighted with multicolored lights that accentuate what a remarkable addition this coaster is for the park. Landscaping improvements were noticeable in several areas of the park this year. Nothing spectacular, but well-kept grounds make a park look more attractive and add to the overall effect. Good job! The Mantis is using a little less brake on the first drop, adding a bit more intensity to the ride and the Mean Streak is running better than it has for the last couple of years. Raptor is still holding on to my "favorite coaster" spot, but the ending is a bit jerky and a new paint job is most definitely in order. New paint would be nice for Mantis and Iron Dragon as well. In fact, painting and general maintenance could be the focus for next year, though a boomerang, inverted boomerang, or wild mouse coaster could be added for variety while keeping costs low. Soak City could also use an additional "ride". Not that there isn't plenty of variety other areas of the park. Excellent rides for the little ones, shops, the museum, and plenty of food. I tried the Silver Dollar Cafe this year and loved the atmosphere, though a wider variety of food would have been nicer. Paddlewheel Excursions was as much "pun" as ever and the musical shows and diving show add that much needed live entertainment aspect. The only other thing l can say is... get to the point! Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast!
